My Little Peanut

未分类

H-E-L-L-O. I am wondering you are a boy peanut or a girl peanut, but you are so lucky because your time is different from my age when girls seemed to be not that welcome and their moms could therefore suffer a lot. So believe that you timely came to a world where there is more gender equality, more opportunities, more knowledge, more connection, and more abilities to love and to be loved.

My sweet Peanut, indeed I am sorry that you came into an ordinary family, but that is the first thing I must let you know ---an ordinary family yet with extraordinary family members!

For me, your birth gifted me a fresh role, to be an aunt, though I didn’t get myself well prepared. Thank you for reminding me, informing me, and convincing me that I am not the little princess once I was but a grow-up responsible for myself, our family, and human future. Your mom is a great mom, taking you to the globe and keeping all of her pain locked away; your mom is a great sister, protecting me against fear and failure; your mom is a great daughter, making sacrifice for the well-being of what we call a family. Your dad is so successful because as my peer he already possesses you as a big fortune while I am still a poor student; your dad is humble and hard-working because in his belief he can create a better life for you and your mom; your dad is respectful because he is giving his children the one thing he treasures most---himself.

Dear Peanut, I can find you a superhero who is my father and your grandpa. Share with you his quotes: “if you are young, wake up earlier; if you are poor, try to work harder; if you are helpless, make yourself stronger; if you are capable, help people around more; if you are wise, seize the moment sooner instead of later.” Happiness and harmony are around you as you have another grandpa, Granny Yong and Granny Song, who are teaching you how to work, how to live and how to be an optimist!

The second is about the world and the wishes. Numerous babies have no food, no diapers and no shelters; countless children have better classrooms, better teachers and better chances than you. But for each child it is equal that their hope and promise is not deprived. We love you and we only want you to be full of hope, to be happy and healthy.

At last, do you know you are a Monkey Peanut? Do you know in the year of Monkey you have several Monkey cousins to come out? So are you ready to set a great example
for your Monkey bothers or sisters? Trust yourself and good luck!

Love to you,
Auntie Jasmine
