The Braj 84 Kos Parikrama can be performed any time of year; however, the most popular and spiritually highly regarded time is to make the pilgrimage from October to March, when the walking conditions and weather are very acceptable to walking and outdoor activities. Many devotees wait to do the parikrama during the Kartik month (October-November), which is considered a favorable time, as it is Purnima, the full moon, which is considered highly favorable in Hindu tradition

Some pilgrims perform the parikrama during Holi and or Janmashtami to make the experience festive and spiritual.
