Delhi to Haridwar Distance Route and Time
There are multiple routes to Delhi to Haridwar road trip, each with its own advantages. The most popular one is NH334 which passes through Ghaziabad, Modinagar, Muzaffarnagar, Roorkee. This 223 km stretch takes 4.5 hours and is well maintained so is the most preferred one. Along the way there are plenty of restaurants, fuel stations and rest stops including the famous Cheetal Grand in Khatauli. You can also take a detour to Hastinapur Wildlife Sanctuary or Mansa Devi Temple in Haridwar.
Another option is NH709AD and NH334 which is 231 km and takes 5 hours. This road goes through Sonipat, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar and is less crowded and rural. While scenic, traffic can slow you down especially during festivals and peak hours.
The third option is through Baraut and Budhana which meets NH334 near Muzaffarnagar. This 226 km stretch takes 5 hours and is a smoother drive with less congestion. All routes meet at Roorkee which is 35 km from Haridwar so it’s a great stop to have a meal or a quick visit to Roorkee’s Ganga Canal.
