To Whom It May Concern,

I am now studying Information Security at XiDian University, China. After Wang Xiaofeng came to Xidian for a lecture last year, I noticed IU's SPICE lab and became interested in the lab's recent work. [insert something] In the last few days, Professor Wang Xiaofeng expressed his approval after reading my resume. In addition, the Dean of the School of Cyber Engineering at XiDian University agreed to be my recommender.

My major is cryptography and linux software security(PWN IN LINUX). In fact, in these two directions, my understanding of cryptography will be more in-depth. In our CTF team, I am the member for the crypto section (Our team 'JD-r3kapig' was invited to defcon 2018 recently). However, In this year, the year of my junior year, as I understand more and more of these two directions, I think I should do more research in PWN, system security, because I realize that I want to do some work that is closely linked to the current world. In this type of work, I can get more satisfaction. That is why I want to do research in system security in the next few years. I think I should join in Wang Xiaofeng's team and do something in this field. And I believe that my cryptography background will do me a favor in my future work. In the future, after I finish my doctoral life in IU, I will continue my research in some commercial laboratories or university laboratories.

我本科可厉害了。

During my three years of undergraduate studies, I received three scholarships (once a year), and I won the title of "Outstanding Student" in 2017. I also participated in some large-scale information security competitions in China and obtained a very good ranking, which contains: Shaanxi Provincial Cyberspace Security Technology Contest Special Award(highest), China University Student Information Security Contest First Prize(highest) and China's Cryptography Technology Contest First Prize(highest). In addition, I am a member of flappy-pig, a team ranked high in various international CTF competitions, and recently we hosted the 2018 HITB-XCTF CTF competition.

I sincerely hope that I can join IU and do some meaningful and exciting work.
