The essence of happiness and true freedom (6)
Chapter 6 Framed structure and individual growing environment
The potential of each person's innate four quotients are developed through the individual growing environment over time. An individual growing environment includes the living environment, social environment, educational environment, and so on.
The following four quotients are like the four kinds of minerals: the content of iron in iron ore is likened to the innate potential of human IQ; the content of copper in a copper mine is likened to the innate potential of human emotional intelligence; the content of silver in a silver mine is likened to the innate potential of the human spiritual quotient; the content of gold in a gold mine is likened to the innate potential of a man’s moral quotient.
The development of the four quotients is like the processing and refining of the ore the metal content in the ore is the most important factor. If the content reaches 70-80%, then processing and refining become simpler and easier. If it goes well, it’s significant. If the content is only 1-10%, it becomes difficult to process and extract, and very little remains to be extracted.
The development of the four quotients of human beings is the same, generally described here.
The development of the four quotients of man can also be compared to the cultivation of plants. The seeds of plants are like the innate potential of the four quotients of human beings. The cultivation of plants, such as the climate, the quality of soils, the altitude, water, sunlight and other external conditions are all very important. However, the most important factor are the skills and the hard work the people put into cultivating the plants.
Of course, none of these metaphors are appropriate because humans are spiritual creatures. The operation of the human body and mind is complex and profound; ordinary people can not conceptualize it.
Modern biological science shows that the genes of children are almost the same as the parents’, with no gene mutation taking place. However, the four quotients between children and parents are vast and diverse. This was discussed in greater detail in the previous chapter.
The human body is only the carrier of the four quotients, and the four quotients can be separated from the body, just like computer hardware is the carrier of software; the software and hardware can be separated.
The growing environment is a very important factor, but the innate potential of the four quotients is even more important, which can be seen as the metal contained in the ore or the wide varieties of breeds of plants. The breed of the plant determines what kind of a plant it will grow into. Perhaps a flower, a shrub, a crop or a big tree? For example, a monkey will always be a monkey no matter how hard it strives and persists. when achieving the highest realm it becomes just like the Monkey King, Sun Wukong. No matter how hard a pig cultivates and how far it has developed, it will always be a pig, and when achieving the highest realm, it can become like Zhu Bajie
Everyone's framework, that is, the potential of four quotients, are different. And each person with a different individual growing environment has a different degree of development in the four quotients.
Nowadays, education is mainly focused on the development of IQ; the educational model and teaching materials are standardized, which result in a limited educational environment.
Since the framed structure of IQ is different, it can be seen from an early age that everyone's academic performance varies greatly. Everyone's IQ and education level are not proportional. Some people only receive elementary school education, but their IQ is very high. Some people receive the blessing of higher education and graduate college, but their IQ is average.
Since the teaching of emotional intelligence is not available in the current school system, emotional intelligence is only developed to a minimal degree through interaction within social and family circles. Only a minuet number of people with gifted emotional intelligence do well in the society, such people often become leaders, business owners or executives.
Virtually no spiritual quotient development exists in school education, and only a very small number of people with gifted spiritual quotient tend to become scientists or religious experts.
Nowadays, schools are promoting the education of moral quotients, however, no systematic, professional trainings readily available. Therefore, most people's moral quotient development is relatively poor, and only a few people with the talent of moral quotient excel to be the elite of society and the backbone of the nation.
Some people are low in the four quotients, living on the edge of poverty, they dare not have too many desires. Survival is their greatest desire those of which make up the majority.
Some people's IQ and EQ are average, but their spiritual quotient and moral quotient are low; all of which result in a lower-level dimension, which has more desires, afflictions, and the increase of pain and the Suffering of Change.
Some people's IQ and EQ are average, but their spiritual quotient and moral quotient are high, which result a in higher life dimension, so they tend to have fewer desires, more contentment, fewer afflictions, and relatively less pain and less Suffering of Change.
Another type exists those of whom have high IQ and EQ, but very low spiritual and moral quotients. As Professor Qian Liqun said, “they are a group of ‘elite egocentric people’.” They are sophisticated, cunning, good at deception, and they cooperate well. They are also well versed with the system to achieve their goals. Once such people are in power, they flatter, form cliques, and engage in conspiracies. They are more detrimental than the ordinary corrupted officials.
